Chocolates nowadays are a dime a dozen but they are rarely as satisfying as you want them to be. Villa Del Contes Authentic Italian Chocolates, however, are a different matter altogether. In the tradition of artisanal chocolates, they make use of only premium-quality handpicked cacao beans, which they believe to be the foundation of great chocolate. For 75 years, these artisans have been handcrafting fine chocolates in a factory in the small town of Villa Del Conte in Padova, Italy, creating a unique Cioccolato experience for their patrons. Like all chocolate lovers, I am beyond ecstatic that I can always get my sweet fix with a box of authentic Italian chocolates right here in Manila!
It always feels nice to unwrap parcels, especially a box of sweet treats in elegant wrappings. It makes you feel excited, kinda like a kid opening presents. I personally love the extra thought that goes into creating wonderful packaging because it really makes a difference.
I was able to try their dome pralines from their premium line and I do not exaggerate when I say, they are a-maaaaaaazing! I am not a chocolate connoisseur but by God, I could taste the difference! They are more chocolate and less sugar additives, unlike supermarket brands. This makes for very fine chocolate that is exceptionally rich, decadent and full of flavor. Each bite is like a burst of chocolate fondue in your mouth! Honestly, I dont think it can get any better than that!

Milk and dark chocolate shell pralines in dome shape with five flavors:
- Blue Milk chocolate with blueberry cream filling
- Green Milk chocolate with hazelnut cream and hazelnut chips

My personal favorites were the Milk Chocolate with Blueberry Cream Filling, Milk Chocolate with Hazelnut Cream and Hazelnut Chips and Dark Chocolate with Tartufone Cream and Cereals. Dont get me wrong though, they were ALL exceptional! I also prefer chocolates that have a bit of texture and so I loved the Domes with the Hazelnut Chips and Cereal. Normally, Im not a huge fan of dark chocolate (and my friends always roll their eyes at this fact) but I really liked Villa Del Contes dark chocolate as it wasnt too bitter. It had the real taste of cacao but it was just so smooth and went really well with their many fillings. I could go on and on about how I like them but nothing will come close to experiencing them yourself. Im sure you wont be disappointed!
On top of exceptional flavor and quality, they tie it up nicely with beautiful packaging. Its really perfect for any type of gift-giving. Whether you want to impress a date, her parents or a business partner, youd do well with a box of these fine chocolates in your hand.
