I really couldn't decide on what flavors to get so Joana, the brainchild behind Liqueur Bonbons, sent me a delightful assortment of flavors. If you're new to Liqueur Bonbons, it's good to know that not all their confections are infused with alcohol and they have liqueur levels for their flavors. I, personally, have an embrassingly low tolerance for it so this was good to know. Luckily for me, they have liqueur-free concoctions called sober bons! How cute is that right? It even turns out that two of my top picks among their astounding TWENTY-ONE flavors are sober bons!
I LOVED the Oreo Cheese Bon and the Matcha Bon from the Sober Bon line. Being an Oreo fan myself (who isn't?), I seriously enjoyed the Oreo Cheese Bon. As the name implies, it's crushed Oreos and cream cheese rolled and coated in white chocolate. Pretty drool-worthy if I may say so. The Matcha Bon is also a favorite. It's infused with green tea and topped off with white chocolate, which is always a winning combination for my taste buds.
Like I said, Joana has segregated the bonbons with liqueur levels, Tipsy, Drunk and Wasted. They use premium imported alchohol such as Absolut Vodka, Jose Cuervo Tequila, Kahlua and the like to ensure the smooth quality of the spirits. You can expect quite a stronger kick in the flavor as the levels progress. Being a margarita kind of girl, I was pretty excited about trying the JC Margarita Bonbon and I was not disappointed! They described it as, "A citrus twist on white chocolate. Injected with tequila and sprinkled with sugar." It was sooo good! The slight tequila flavor went really well with the sweetness of white chocolate and sugar. I can't wait to let my 'alcoholic' friends try this!
Liqueur Bonbons are delightful and imaginative confections, perfect for the adventurous spirit. Given their truffle-sized portions, they're great for sharing with friends and I'd imagine they would be an awesome potluck treat as well.
