Last week, me and my long time BFF, Janthina Fong, spent our saturday afternoon getting ourselves pampered. And for someone who doesn't particularly enjoy nail spas, I definitely had the best time in MANOS NAIL LOUNGE when I went to visit. Let me walk you through my experience by sharing with you why this has become one of my favorite places in the city!
1. Amazing Atmosphere.
Relaxation is key and the Manos Nail Lounge interiors does just that. There's an instant breath of fresh air as you enter.
I particularly like how they mixed textures and dimensions in tones of white and wood. It has a nice mix of shabby chic and modern asian aesthetic.
Their tall lounge chairs facing a view of Fort Bonifacio are a big hit and they also have book cases all over the lounge (Jan even found 'Love and other demons' displayed. A Gabriel Garcia Marquez favorite of ours)
2. Going green!
"The environment is a cornerstone of our establishment".
Their scrubs and lotions that are made with products grown organically. They also use ZOYA - a nail polish brand without toxins. And another plus for me is that there was a nail color named "STACY" which coincidentally was a deep maroon perfect for me! They've also managed to incorporate eco-friendliness in their interiors - they use LED lights and energy saving appliances.
3. Great service with a special touch.
"MANOS (literally “hands” in Spanish) is the brainchild of three friends that wanted to create a unique spa experience by being one that offered more than just pampering and relaxation – but also promoted social and environmental consciousness."
Their philosophy is what sets this place apart from other nail spas. They put importance in social and environmental consciousness . - Something I admire and hope to emulate for my business.
By naming it "MANOS", they pay homage to the many hands that "go into making the manos experience complete. " This is very evident in the kind of gentleness and attention that's put into their services. You'll really feel it when you're there! Makes such a big difference when the staff is well-trained and well-loved.
4. Manos is more than just a nail spa!
Talk about kicking back and relaxing! Manos also serves cocktails. What a luxury to be able to have a mug of beer while getting pampered! SARAP!
