Health is something to take seriously. Definitely. Along with being healthy comes in wellness, which equally must not be taken for granted. However, fear of hospitals (I actually know a lot of people who dread hospital visits... not myself though) and the hassle of going out of the way for a checkup makes people less interested in their health and postpone their checkup, which is essential to have at least once a year. My Health Clinic solves this problem. As the premiere non-hospital based healthcare center, My Health Clinic offers a wide array of services all to cater to a patient's specific health needs. More so, it has a lot of branches which makes it easy, convenient and accessible as it is located in easy to find places. For my visit, I got to visit the Shangri-la Plaza branch which was one of its biggest.
Upon entering the place, I am greeted by a friendly staff of reception people who conveniently asked me and the nature of my visit. I was then introduced to the Clinic Manager and the marketing head of the company who gave me a tour around the place.
The waiting area is spacious, well-lit and accomodates guests to wait comfortaly for their appointment. Aside from a television to entertain patients as they wait, the also have an internet hub where people are free to surf and check on their records.
The first nurses' station is the pit stop for people where vital measurements, weight and other important details are measured. From there, different portals labeled accordingly where patients can navigate accordingly to their specific needs.
There is the Laboratory, Blood Extraction Room (which is sanitized and well kept), Drug Testing Room (designed for utmost privacy). Looking from the outside of the clinic, one may think that it is a small space but I was then greeted by a spacious aisle which stretched far, this housed many of the private rooms, consultation areas and various specific stations for testing and diagnosis.
The place also has a special VIP Lounge where Premiere cardholders can wait for their turn and scheduled appointment. It is basically a well furnished waiting room where VIP members can lounge while waiting for results with private restroom, television and also, snacks and coffee as refreshment.
I was then led to their heart station, which houses the state of the art technology when it comes to heart monitoring and testing. Complete with the most up to date equipment, the center has a 2-D Echo Machine, ECG unit, stress test/ tolerance testing area etc. I decided to give the 2-D Echo a try and it gave quite accurate results as to my condition.
Aside from the state of the art heart station, the place also houses a lot of state of the art and up to date diagnostic equipment which most hospitals and clinics aren't even up to speed on. This includes their digital imaging X-ray, which provides speedy X-ray results as it is hooked to a digital processing machine, ultrasound machine, physical therapy and rehabilitation facilities, consultation rooms where specialists and highly trained doctors may be consulted and also, an outpatient operating room wherein minor surgeries may be performed. Also, as a first in the country, they also offer online consultations where people can consult via phone or web with healthcare specialists regarding their symptoms and conditions.
All in all, I would say, it was such a good experience and visit. I loved how complete, comprehensive and modern the place was. With state of the art equipment, professional and highly trained medical staff and specialists and overall quality health services (not to mention, it is located outside a hospital), this is definitely a good place to go to for one's health needs.
