An exciting bazaar and festive carnival all under one tent – this is what you and your family can expect on September 18, Sunday at the Rockwell Tent, Makati (10AM to 10PM) as Regina Iustitiae Sorority proudly presents “Carnival de Rainhas.”

There’s no better way to spend your Sunday than eating great food, playing fun games and scouring sweet bargains with those dearest to your heart. This event promises more than 50 booths selling food, clothes, bags, accessories and toys, as well as game booths like basketball, shooting, darts and ring toss. Game winners will receive prizes like bunnies, chicks and glowsticks – surely a delight for the kids and kids at heart! There will also be face painting and balloon twisting, glitter and henna tattoo services, cotton candy, a photobooth, a caricature artist, a tarot card reading station and fantastic raffle prizes, including a trip to Boracay and Yellow Cab gift certificates.

“Carnival de Rainhas” literally translates to “Carnival of Queens,” an annual festival held in Bethlehem, Brazil. It is celebrated a month before Easter and serves as a farewell to all negative experiences of the past year. Similarly, this event serves as the sorority’s farewell to the past school year, ushering a new one in celebration of its 6th anniversary.

Being the oldest sorority in the Ateneo Law School with the most number of bar topnotchers, Regina Iustitiae’s ultimate vision is to be a catalyst for women empowerment, seeking to produce excellent women lawyers. The sorority  is also proud of its yearly bar operations, where it takes care of its barrister sisses by providing for their reviewers, hotel accommodations, food and other needs to ensure that they are successful in taking the bar. In line with this, all the proceeds of “Carnival de Rainhas” will be for the benefit of the said bar operations.
